On Tuesday, July 2, 2024 the IAMIAM Identity and Access Management (IAM) is a set of policies, processes, and technologies designed to ensure that the right individuals (identities) have the right access to resources within an organization. IAM involves managing and securing digital identities, controlling access to systems and data, and maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information. Team released version 2024.4.1 of midPoint, implementing the following changes:
- Auto-generation of sAMAccountName for Grouper created groups will now include the sub-department, if there is one.
- The sAMAccountName will now allow up to 7 characters for the CSUCSU College, School, or Unit name and 7 characters for the sub-department name.
- All pre-existing Grouper groups that have a sub-department will automatically be updated with the new sAMAccountName format.
