Release Notes – uTexas Identity Manager – Version 2021.3.0

On Tuesday, July 27, 2021 the IAM Team released version 2021.3.0 of the uTexas Identity Manager (TIMTIM The uTexas Identity Manager (TIM) is the university’s identity manager. See uTexas Identity Manager (TIM) in the service catalog for more information.) which implemented the following changes:

  • IGAIGA Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) refers to a set of processes and technologies used by organizations to manage and control user access to resources and information within their systems. This includes managing user identities, roles, and permissions, as well as monitoring and auditing user activities to ensure compliance with regulations and policies. IGA helps organizations reduce security risks, improve regulatory compliance, and streamline user access management across different systems and applications.-84 – Improvements to the Non-Use Lock Sweep.
  • IGA-94 – Improvement to EIDUT EID The University of Texas Electronic Identity (UT EID or EID) is the public records identifier for principals at the university.   • IGA-108 – Updated support contact information in the UT EID Self-Service Tool.
  • IGA-115 – Improvement to verbiage in the UT EID Administrative Services Tool per the UT Service Desk.
  • IGA-116 – Improvement to verbiage in the UT EID Administrative Services Tool per the UT Service Desk.
  • IGA-126 – Decommissioned notifications to UTLogin.
  • IGA-191 – Removed dependency on the White Pages (WPSWPS The White Pages Service (WPS) is a directory back-end which supports the university’s web-based public directory.) directory service.
  • IGA-199 – Updated EID Upgrade process in the UT EID Self-Service Tool to reflect updated ID Center process.
  • IGA-221 – Fixed bug in an individual report.
  • IGA-237 – Added additional characters to list of allowed characters in name attributes.
  • IGA-246 – Modifications to support for the Chosen Name.
  • IGA-252 – Improvements to the Non-Use Lock Sweep.
  • IGA-254 – Changed system of record for utexasEduPersonFullPartTimeEmployee.
  • Additional improvements and bug-fixes.
