Release Notes – Enterprise Authentication – Spring 2025

On Thursday, July 10, 2025 the IAMIAM Identity and Access Management (IAM) is a set of policies, processes, and technologies designed to ensure that the right individuals (identities) have the right access to resources within an organization. IAM involves managing and securing digital identities, controlling access to systems and data, and maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information. Team released the Spring 2025 update for Enterprise AuthenticationAuthentication Authentication is the act of determining that a person is who they claim to be. For more information, see our Concepts page., implementing the following changes:

  • Updating to latest IdPIdP An Identity Provider (IdP) is a software tool or service that offers user authentication as a service. The IdP manages the user's primary authentication credentials and issues assertions derived from those credentials. At UT Austin, the primary IdP used to authenticate the UT EID and EID Password is Enterprise Authentication, which is managed by the IAM Team. For more information, see our Concepts page. image
  • Allow list updates
  • Updates to Metadata Manager Federation
  • Implementing Pairwise ID

Release Notes – midPoint – Release 2025.3.3

On Tuesday, July 1, 2025 the IAMIAM Identity and Access Management (IAM) is a set of policies, processes, and technologies designed to ensure that the right individuals (identities) have the right access to resources within an organization. IAM involves managing and securing digital identities, controlling access to systems and data, and maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information. Team released version 2025.3.3 of midPoint, implementing the following changes:

  • Remove z_ accounts from the production environment.
  • When the Grouper Subject Role is removed, the corresponding Grouper Outbound Grouper Source Database shadow will also be removed.
  • New “Resume All Suspended Tasks and Sub-Tasks” task.
  • Increase the timeout on redirection for the midPoint automated tests.
  • Scheduling of the “Remove Unused Grouper Shadows” task.
  • Set constraints on the midPoint user accounts to avoid duplicated assignments.
  • General service updates.

IAM involves managing and securing digital identities, controlling access to systems and data, and maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information. Team released version 2025.2.3 of the IGAIGA Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) refers to a set of processes and technologies used by organizations to manage and control user access to resources and information within their systems. Infrastructure, implementing the following changes:

  • Kubernetes (K8s) upgrade to version 1.31.
  • Removal of failover contingency.
  • midPoint internal DB resize to 4XL.
  • General service updates.
