Release Notes – midPoint – Release 2025.1.0

On Wednesday, September 25, 2024 the IAMIAM Identity and Access Management (IAM) is a set of policies, processes, and technologies designed to ensure that the right individuals (identities) have the right access to resources within an organization. IAM involves managing and securing digital identities, controlling access to systems and data, and maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information. Team released version 2025.1.0 of midPoint, implementing the following changes:

  • Created task to resume suspended sub-tasks.
  • Removed old certificate.
  • Disabled emergency login in non-sandbox environments.
  • Upgraded lxml.
  • Other general service updates.

Release Notes – midPoint – Release 2024.4.1

On Tuesday, July 2, 2024 the IAMIAM Identity and Access Management (IAM) is a set of policies, processes, and technologies designed to ensure that the right individuals (identities) have the right access to resources within an organization. IAM involves managing and securing digital identities, controlling access to systems and data, and maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information. Team released version 2024.4.1 of midPoint, implementing the following changes:

  • Auto-generation of sAMAccountName for Grouper created groups will now include the sub-department, if there is one.
  • The sAMAccountName will now allow up to 7 characters for the CSUCSU College, School, or Unit name and 7 characters for the sub-department name.
  • All pre-existing Grouper groups that have a sub-department will automatically be updated with the new sAMAccountName format.

On Wednesday, May 15, 2024 the IAMIAM Identity and Access Management (IAM) is a set of policies, processes, and technologies designed to ensure that the right individuals (identities) have the right access to resources within an organization. IAM involves managing and securing digital identities, controlling access to systems and data, and maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information. Team released version 2024.4.0 of the midPoint database which implemented the following changes:

  • The midPoint database was migrated to its own RDS instance.

Release Notes – midPoint Database – Release 2024.3.0

On Wednesday, April 24, 2024 the IAMIAM Identity and Access Management (IAM) is a set of policies, processes, and technologies designed to ensure that the right individuals (identities) have the right access to resources within an organization. IAM involves managing and securing digital identities, controlling access to systems and data, and maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information. Team released version 2024.3.0 of the midPoint database which implemented the following changes:

  • Schedule Inbound Grouper Reconciliation and Recomputation tasks
  • Delete the ADAD Active Directory (AD) is a directory service from Microsoft which implements Internet standard directory and naming protocols. See Austin Active Directory (Austin AD) in the service catalog for the University’s local implementation. or TEDTED The uTexas Enterprise Directory (TED) is the University’s enterprise directory. See uTexas Enterprise Directory (TED) in the service catalog for more information. role when the corresponding shadow is removed from a user profile
  • Additional attributes with attribute values are collected and added to the Grouper Outbound – Grouper Source Database schema in midPoint

Release Notes – midPoint Database – Release 2024.2.1

On Thursday, March 21, 2024 the IAMIAM Identity and Access Management (IAM) is a set of policies, processes, and technologies designed to ensure that the right individuals (identities) have the right access to resources within an organization. IAM involves managing and securing digital identities, controlling access to systems and data, and maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information. Team performed an emergency release version 2024.2.1 of the midPoint database which implemented the following:

  • Added an additional certificate in midPoint to continue to enable connections between midPoint and the uTexas Enterprise Directory (TEDTED The uTexas Enterprise Directory (TED) is the University’s enterprise directory. See uTexas Enterprise Directory (TED) in the service catalog for more information.), and midPoint and the Austin Active Directory (ADAD Active Directory (AD) is a directory service from Microsoft which implements Internet standard directory and naming protocols. See Austin Active Directory (Austin AD) in the service catalog for the University’s local implementation.).
